Tennis and Fitness Centre - Fitness

Our exercise and Spinning® studios offer more than 60 fitness classes seven days a week! You’ll discover a wide range of classes to meet your fitness needs.

You’ll receive the benefit of more personalized instruction by our friendly and qualified staff because of our smaller class size. Our exercise space is intimate, allowing our instructors to help our members quickly become familiar with technique and equipment.

Classes included with your membership at no additional fee are: Cardio Formats, Strength and Conditioning, TRX®, TRX® Rip Trainer, Spinning®, Yoga, Pilates Mat, Zumba®, Nia to name a few.

Specialty classes such as Jazz Dance and other workshops may be offered with an additional fee.

Sunday

  • Spin & Sculpt45 minutes of cycling with standard format, followed by 10-15 minutes of upper body strength work (those not wishing to participate in the Sculpt part of class are free to leave following post-ride stretches).  Typical class is 1 hour total time. with Lisa 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm

Saturday

  • Total Body Step*30 years and going strong! Step Platform training is both fun and really awesome (not just for those knees!).  Step ups were never this much fun! with Tina 8:00 am to 8:55 am
  • Med Ball Blast*Learn the many ways a weighted ball can enhance your strength workout. Multiple muscle groups will be targeted, especially the core.  A brief warm-up on treadmill or stationary bike is recommended before participating. with Darryl 8:00 am to 8:55 am
  • SPINPower®*Same format as Spinning®, but with the addition of Power, wattage, as another metric to determine intensity. with Joseph 8:30 am to 9:30 am
  • Functional Training*You can count on Jerome and Lisa for your AM Routine! Consistent strength – a surefire thing! with Darryl 9:00 am to 9:40 am
  • Yoga: Hatha I-IIExplore a wide variety of common  Yoga poses (asanas) that will compliment your sports and fitness regimen!  Try it!  You'll like it! with Annelie 9:45 am to 10:45 am

The classes listed above are included with full membership privileges, for a class description, simply click on the class name. Instructors are highly trained, experienced, and maintain certifications through continuing education. They are here to help you define and achieve your fitness goals, and to help you enjoy your experience at the club as you exercise. We thank you for putting your trust in The Tennis and Fitness Centre staff.

Please note that classes are on-going and will be held whether there is one participant or fifteen. It is requested that you arrive early to set up necessary equipment and to secure your favorite spot.

Keep in mind that it’s important to participate in the warm-up segment of each class to prevent injury during the peak working phase. Also, remember to stay for the cool-down segment for proper recovery. Work at your own pace and don’t hesitate to ask for guidance. Water bottles are encouraged. Please keep all other belongings locked in the locker room. And please try to keep conversation to a minimum.
